Jesus was willing to heal a withered hand so a man could regain his ability to work even if it meant His enemies would do what they could to hold it against Him. I find it hard to understand how a group of people, who were supposed to be implementing God's law, would be so heartless and murderous. All Jesus did was help others, but this somehow infuriated them. This lets me know that doing God's work does not shield us from those who hate God. Help me be willing to extend kindness to others, even if it brings on the anger of my enemy.
